Cookie policy
This policy explains what cookies are and how they are used on the Perla Cosăului guesthouse and event hall website operated by PERLA COSĂULUI S.R.L. For general personal data processing, see our Privacy policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They help recognise your browser, remember preferences or improve how the site works.
2. What types of cookies may appear on this site?
- Strictly necessary / functional cookies. They support basic site operation (e.g. maintaining a browsing session where applicable). Without them, some features may not be available.
- Third-party cookies (embedded content). The contact page may embed Google Maps. When the map loads, Google may set its own cookies and process technical data under Google’s policies. We do not control these cookies directly; you can manage them in your browser settings or by blocking third-party content (if your browser allows).
- Resources loaded from other domains. Fonts (Google Fonts) or icons (CDN) may trigger requests to third-party providers; they may use limited technical data under their own policies.
3. Analytics and advertising cookies (with consent)
If you click Accept all in the cookie banner, we may load the following tools. If you choose Essential only, these scripts are not included on the page. Technical IDs are configured in the tracking-config.js file on the server; until those are filled in, the respective tools do not activate.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC. Helps us understand how the site is used (pages visited, duration, traffic sources). Data may include IP address and device identifiers, under Google’s Privacy Policy. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (where available).
- Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel). Provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms, Inc. Enables measurement of ad effectiveness and conversions, remarketing and custom audiences, under Meta’s Data Policy and Meta ad settings.
- TikTok Pixel. Provided by TikTok Technology Limited / TikTok affiliates. Enables measurement and optimisation for advertising on TikTok, under TikTok’s Privacy Policy.
The legal basis for these modules is consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer and choosing Essential only (the page reloads to stop scripts already loaded).
4. How can you control cookies?
Most browsers let you delete cookies, block them or set site-specific preferences. See your browser’s Help or Privacy settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the site display.
5. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies for site operation may rely on legitimate interest or applicable legal provisions. For non-essential cookies, where used, we rely on consent, in line with the ePrivacy Directive as transposed into national law and the GDPR.
6. Changes
We may update this policy; please check this page from time to time. Questions: contact@perlacosaului.ro.
